There are people out there who like to get exercise on their holidays - no judges here. We get it. Hiking is a great way to get outside, stay active, and explore the beauty of nature. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just starting out, there are plenty of amazing destinations to choose from.
No matter where you choose to hike, for sure take in the beauty and get your blood pumping, but always stay safe! Wear the right gear, bring plenty of water and food, and let someone know your itinerary. With these precautions in mind, you'll have more peace of mind to enjoy all that these stunning hiking destinations have to offer.
Here are five hiking destinations that should be on your bucket list, if they aren’t already:
Yosemite National Park, California: This iconic national park is home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in the United States, including towering granite cliffs, sparkling waterfalls, and ancient sequoia trees. With over 800 miles of trails, there's something for hikers of all levels. Don't miss the chance to hike up to the top of Half Dome, a granite dome with panoramic views of the park. Patagonia, Chile: This region in the southern tip of South America is known for its rugged beauty and challenging hikes. Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro stands at 19,341 feet and offers a variety of routes to the summit, ranging from easy to strenuous. The journey to the top takes about a week, and is an unforgettable experience that combines physical exertion with stunning views of the surrounding savanna.
